Private Members Bill Seeks to Protect Freedom of Religion or Belief
The Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB), Fiona Bruce MP, chaired the International Religious Freedom event, emphasizing the critical importance of religious freedom. Bruce, a passionate advocate for religious freedom, was re-elected as the Special Envoy in 2023.
Bruce introduced the Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief Bill 2023-24 (Private Member's Bill 191), a presentation bill that aims to safeguard FoRB. The bill was introduced on 11 December 2022.
As the Special Envoy, Bruce has worked tirelessly to promote religious freedom in the UK and internationally.
